Clear has partnered with some of the industries best expertise and technology partners to deliver its Broadband initiatives. Some of these are summarised below.
Network Service Providers
IPSTAR
is a new satellite platform with coverage across Australia and large part of South East Asia. IPSTAR’s satellite broadband platform is capable of high speed services deployed for residential and business services.
Clear Networks is a wholesale partner with IPSTAR and provides direct to business and home services as well as wholesale services to other carriers on its network.
Clear Networks utilises IPSTAR’s satellite network and combined with Clear’s terrestrial interconnections and services provides a potent capability for this class of customer.
Pipe Networks
PIPE Networks is a provider of dark fibre, tele-housing and managed solutions across all State capital cities of Australia. It also owns and operates a 6900km undersea cable system between Sydney and Guam that allows direct connectivity to the USA and South-East Asia. PIPE Networks is a wholly-owned subsidiary of TPG Telecom Limited
(ASX: TPM), one of Australia’s largest providers of telecommunications services to retail, corporate and government sectors.
Digital River Networks
Digital River Networks is a next-generation provider of managed, end-to-end Broadband Ethernet/Gigabit solutions for enterprise customers and the telecommunications industry within Australia. They offer a uniquely scalable suite of networking services that combine the speed, simplicity and cost effectiveness of core Broadband technology with Digital River Networks bandwidth-on-demand functionality. Digital River Networks provides Dark Fibre, Ethernet, MPLS, Internet and Broadband services and is a fully licensed telecommunications carrier.
Optus
Optus provides strong technical support through its Satellite coverage utilised by Clear Networks to deliver vSat services nation wide. In particular, Clear utilises the Optus D1 satellite for its high end customers, carriers and backhaul to local loop wireless services throughout Australia.
In addition, Optus provides backhaul and internet links utilising Fibre. Optus is also a partner for Clear in delivery of its DSL services throughout Australia.
Verizon
Verizon is the world’s largest carrier of internet traffic. Clear utilised Verizon for one of its main internet gateway and some select backhaul services.
Clear also utilises Verizon for its voice services and provides shared and co-location hosting in its state of the art Data centre in Melbourne.
Soul (previously Comindico/SPT)
Over the past few years Soul has become a key partner for deployment of ClearTowns, as Soul has one of the farthest reaching networks in Australia.
Clear utilises multiple links that carry all data traffic back to Melbourne – thereby ensuring complete control over our network. Both companies are working together to deploy more services utilising our wireless and Souls fibre technology throughout Australia.
Asia Netcom
Asia Netcom is a Tier 1 provider of IP traffic to and from Australia with an extensive domestic network. Asia Netcom is a key provider of IP traffic to Clear Networks.
Equinix
Equinix is a globally recognised leader in providing network neutral data centre and interconnect services to global carriers and customers.
Clear utilises the Equinix data-centre in Sydney as its primary data-centre and network exchange between its suppliers of services, including co-location and data-services.
Southern Cross Broadcasting (SCB)
Southern Cross has an extensive network on the East Coast and central Australia. Because of its needs to transmit radio and TV, Clear has managed to secure rights to a number of towers and bandwidth to transit data to its ClearTowns. These are particularly used in South Australia.
Last year, Clear purchased the business of SCB’s subsidiary “Central Online” which was a dial-up ISP. Clear continues the operation under its own banner as Clear Central (a wholly owned subsidiary of Clear Networks.
Infrastructure Providers
Motorola
Clear is one of Motorola’s significant partners using its Canopy wireless product range. Having been one of the first to deploy a Motorola based Wireless Broadband network (Melbourne), and having completed modifications so the Access Points to provide Omni Directional Coverage, Clear has arguably more experience with Motorola Canopy then any other provider in Australia.
Clear utilises Motorola for backhauls throughout its extensive Australian Network.
Skypilot
Skypilot Networks supplies some of the leading fixed wireless broadband solutions in the unlicensed spectrum. Utlising patent pending, synchronous meshing architecture with high-speed switched directional antenna arrays that extends reach, mitigates interference, and maximizes spectral reuse.
The result is a highly scalable, reliable, and deterministic mesh network that simplifies design, increases deployment flexibility, and dramatically reduces equipment and operating costs.
SkyPilot has proven scalability and reliability for Clear Networks deployment throughout regional and metropolitan areas in Australia.
Tranzeo
Tranzeo Wireless Technologies Inc. leads the wireless broadband industry for value, by producing high-performance wireless network equipment with a low cost of ownership and unparalleled service, allowing communities and businesses to communicate without boundaries.
Tranzeo has provided an exclusive solution to Clear for use in Australia in the 900Mhz spectrum, providing unparalleled throughput with NLOS capabilities which is perfect for rural and regional deployments.
Netcomm
Netcomm is Clear Networks premium partner in deployment of DSLAMS for Clear’s hospitality solutions. Combined with Clear’s own software, and backhaul, Clear has deployed Netcomm DSLAMs in retirement communities, hotels, resorts and other hospitality venues.
Netcomm is also one of Clear’s chosen providers for home routers and modems on its DSL and DSL2+ networks of home users.
Cisco Systems

The Cisco Powered Network (CPN) designation assures that we meet the most stringent standards for network reliability and performance as guaranteed by our incorporation of Cisco hardware, software and technology. Through our Cisco Power Network, we're able to provide a full service suite of voice and data services over a single VoIP network built end-to-end on Cisco network equipment.
Linksys
Linksys, a division of Cisco Systems, Inc., is the recognized global leader in VoIP, Wireless and Ethernet networking for home, SOHO (Small Office, Home Office) and small business users.
Linksys is our preferred technology for managed switches and VOIP technology for Clear’s SME market.
Mikrotik
Mikrotik develops router OS which makes it easy to make a PC based router with features and capability that rival other more expensive solutions.
Clear is one of the largest users of Mikrotik technology for managed routers, hotspot managers and other network installations in Australia.
Skybridge
Skybridge is the company that provides for site checks, shipping and installation of all Clear’s satellite services.. Skybridge has a network of over 60 satellite installation organisations. Clear and Skybridge have integrated their provisioning systems to enable accurate and efficient installation time-frames with SLA’s that are the envy of the Satellite Industry.
