What type of Internet connection is needed to support SureExchange?
Your connection to the Internet is critical for the SureExchange service. The reason is that your collaboration client (Microsoft Outlook 2003) will connect and share your information with the SureExchange server. It also retrieves updates in regards to all other users who also use the server. In essence, the more users you have using Outlook, the more Internet bandwidth that is required to use it efficiently. One of the keys is the available upload bandwidth. The chart below shows recommended line speeds in worst case scenarios. To understand your bandwidth requirements ask yourself the following questions:
1. How big your files are going to be when sending/receiving through the Internet?
2. How many users will be sending/receiving files at one given time?
3. How many active users will be accessing the SureExchange system at the same time?
Upkeep and maintenance of each users PC's (Operating system type, Processor Speed, available RAM, etc) will ensure optimum performance. The following table provides a general network connection requirements. Contact us for advise on your specific requirements.

So how do I get SureExchange?
Email us with your details and we will contact you. It's that simple!
We use Outlook Express. How do we transfer existing emails to the SureExchange Server?
Any data that can be saved to a PST format can be imported into SureExchange. The process will vary depending on what system you're migrating from. The SureExchange support team can help you do this.
How do I get billed for this service?
You can elect to pay monthly, quarterly, or yearly. Invoices will be emailed accordingly and you can pay by credit card or direct debit.
How is the excess storage being calculated?
Excess data storage may incur an additional monthly fee of $0.15 per MB
What happens if we get close to or exceed our disk space?
At 80% of capacity users will be sent an email indicating that they are nearing their allotted disk space. At 90% users won't be able to send emails and at 100% they won't be able to send or receive emails. Additional mailbox/public folder space can be requested through the administration portal by company administrators.
I manage the mail for my organisation; do I have any control or access to the Exchange server so I can make changes?
An administration portal will allow the specified administrators to do the following:
- add/delete users
- request additional MB storage for mailboxes and public folders
- change user profiles
- change user email tiers (SureExchange PC & Web/SureExchange Web Only Access/SureExchange Solo Web Only Access)
- deploy additional services (Anti-Spam, etc)
- create global contact lists
- create global distribution lists (internal and external)
- create aliases
- setup additional domains
Who else has access to our data?
Your emails and other files can only be accessed by using a username and password. If your usernames and passwords are kept secure then only authorised people will gain access to your data.
If I accidentally delete a message or folder can I get it back?
You will have the ability to recover any deleted item that is less than 14 days old. If you require recovery of a mailbox, Day3 will restore the mailbox to a PST file on CD-ROM and mail to the customer within 5 business days of the request. Mail database and mailbox restoration services are charged on a time and material basis. This service is provided at an additional cost.
What support do you provide?
